Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MaxPerp Ltd (“MaxPerp”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses information about you when you use our Platform. By using the Platform you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Email address, password (stored as a salted hash), unique identifier, two-factor authentication secret (when enabled), and account preferences.
- Identity verification. Full legal name, date of birth, residential address, country of residence, government-issued identity document, and selfie/liveness data. This data is required by anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing laws.
- Transactional information. Deposits, withdrawals, orders, positions, balances, fees, funding payments, and the on-chain addresses used to fund your account.
- Technical information. IP address, device and browser fingerprints, session timestamps, referring URL, and basic performance telemetry.
- Communications. Support tickets, emails to us, and our replies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Operating the Platform, including order matching, settlement, margin and liquidation logic, and on-chain deposit / withdrawal processing.
- Verifying your identity and complying with our anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing, sanctions, and tax obligations.
- Protecting the Platform: rate-limiting abusive requests, detecting fraud and market manipulation, and securing user funds.
- Communicating with you about your account, security events, changes to our terms, and (where you consent) product updates.
- Improving the Platform — aggregated, de-identified analytics on how features are used.
3. Legal Bases
Where applicable law requires it, we process your personal data on the following bases: (i) performance of a contract with you; (ii) compliance with a legal obligation; (iii) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Platform; and (iv) your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
4. Sharing
We disclose information only:
- to service providers acting on our behalf (identity-verification partners, email delivery, infrastructure hosting, on-chain analytics) under contractual obligations to safeguard your data;
- to law enforcement, regulators, or other public authorities where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the integrity of the Platform;
- to a successor in interest in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to confidentiality safeguards;
- with your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information: encrypted transport (TLS), password hashing, two-factor authentication, hot/cold wallet separation for customer funds, role-based access controls, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure; you remain responsible for protecting your account credentials and 2FA device.
6. Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Platform and to comply with our legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations. Identity-verification records are typically retained for five years after the closure of your account.
7. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we put in place appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers of personal data across borders.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, restrict or object to certain processing, and lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through Support. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding.
9. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use a small set of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and protect against fraud. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Where applicable, you will be prompted to consent to non-essential cookies on first visit.
10. Children
The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or by a prominent notice on the Platform.
